The Bird's Opening, From's Gambit: Wins a Pawn is a classic chess opening trap arising from the Bird's Opening, From's Gambit. In this line Black wins decisive material by move 7, punishing a natural-looking but losing idea from White.
The full sequence runs 1.f4 e5 2.fxe5 d6 3.exd6 Bxd6 4.Nf3 Bg4 5.e3 Qf6 6.Nc3 Ne7 7.Ne4 Bxf3. Each move looks reasonable, which is exactly why the trap is so effective over the board — White walks into it while trying to play "normal" developing moves.
This pattern is well known from master and correspondence play (Vargyas - Vegvari, Hungary 1994). Recognising it early lets you either spring it as Black or sidestep it as White.
