How the Sacrifice the Queen!! works
The Sacrifice the Queen!! is a classic chess opening trap arising from the Queen's pawn game. In this line White wins decisive material by move 10, punishing a natural-looking but losing idea from Black.
The full sequence runs 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nc3 d5 4.Bg5 c5 5.Nf3 cxd4 6.Nxd4 e5 7.Ndb5 a6 8.Nxd5 axb5 9.Nxf6+ Qxf6 10.Bxf6 Bb4+. Each move looks reasonable, which is exactly why the trap is so effective over the board — Black walks into it while trying to play "normal" developing moves.
