The Queen's Pawn: Opening Trap is a classic chess opening trap arising from the Queen's pawn. In this line White wins decisive material by move 7, punishing a natural-looking but losing idea from Black.
The full sequence runs 1.d4 e5 2.dxe5 Nc6 3.Nf3 Qe7 4.Nc3 Nxe5 5.Nxe5 Qxe5 6.Nd5 Qd6 7.Bf4. Each move looks reasonable, which is exactly why the trap is so effective over the board — Black walks into it while trying to play "normal" developing moves.
